Local schools commemorate Veterans Day

Local events honoring military personnel looked different this Veterans Day, but the message of reverence and gratitude was still evident. At the district’s three elementary schools, virtual Veterans Day presentations and videos took the place of annual in-person assemblies and receptions. City asks residents for input on park upgrade

City administrators are looking for the opinions of residents regarding the upgrading of Memorial Park. The park is located on the west side of State Road, between Akins Road and Royalton Road. Parade and holiday lighting ceremony canceled, but Santa is waiting for Christmas wish letters

The pandemic has claimed another beloved city tradition: the annual Lighting of the City Green and Christmas Parade event that typically takes place the Sunday after Thanksgiving and helps usher in the holiday season. Historical Marker is installed at City Green

On Sunday, October 18, a ceremony to officially mark the North Royalton City Green for history took place. Care & Share continues Thanksgiving meal tradition in a different way

It’s a Thanksgiving tradition. For the past 30 years, the Care & Share Thanksgiving meal at Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church has been a tradition in North Royalton. Those who are new to our city, who may be a shut-in or who may not have any family in the area, have found fellowship at Royal Redeemer on Turkey Day, and they are served a great meal. City looks to Issue 1 for funding

The North Royalton City Council unanimously adopted a resolution at their October 20 meeting that authorizes the Mayor to apply for assistance from the State’s infrastructure program. The assistance is for the 2021 Issue 1 funding year. This year, the project involves the West 130 Street and York Road Sanitary Sewer Improvement Projects. Police seeing uptick in fraud

In one 30-day period, 15 cases of theft by deception, fraud and/or identity theft were reported to the North Royalton Police Department. It is not unusual to get several reports in one day, according to North Royalton Police Detective, David Loeding. Many think that older individuals are mainly the victims of these types of crimes, but that is not necessarily true. “Fraud knows no age,” said Loeding.
