City Green to Get Historical Marker
The North Royalton City Green will be marked soon for history. The North Royalton Historical Society has recently received word that they will receive a grant for up to $3,040 to place the historical marker on the Green. At the September 9 Board of Education meeting, Director of Personnel, Pat Farrell, updated the Board on the District’s Strategic Plan progress. Road work on Route 82 widening is ahead of schedule
To those who travel Rt. 82 frequently and have had to deal with the continual construction, there is some good news. The project is currently at least six months ahead of schedule. Of course, this is a very extensive project, but the end is a bit closer. The Rt. 82 widening project converts Royalton Road, which runs east/west through North Royalton, from a two lane road to a three lane road, with 6 foot sidewalks and 7 foot tree lawns one each side, as well as two 15 foot lanes and an 11 foot turning lane, completing a span of 78 feet. School District launches new bus app
The North Royalton City School District has implemented a new GPS system in their school buses and vans that will make life a bit easier for students and parents. As a part of their new GPS system, the District has offered the app for parents called ‘Here Comes the Bus’. The “Here Comes the Bus” Synovia GPS Systems app for Schools was rolled out on October 1, of the 2019-20 school year. The house where the murder of Suzanne Taylor and her daughters, Taylor and Kylie, took place will soon be razed. The property has been sold and the new property owner is tentatively planning the development of that property at 11489 Ridge Road. The bodies of three females were found dead on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at 11489 Ridge Road, just north of Wallings Road.
