Donation insures YMCA will be able to assist more families

Thanks to a generous donation, even more people will have access to the many benefits of a North Royalton Family YMCA membership. A $5,000 donation from the Westfield Insurance Legacy of Caring Fund was recently awarded to the State Road exercise and wellness facility. Graydon-Toole Insurance Group, who has represented Westfield Insurance for more than 60 years, nominated the North Royalton Family YMCA for a grant from the Westfield Insurance Foundation and presented the check to local leaders in a ceremony last month. Breaking ground on North Royalton Elementary School Construction Project

On Friday, August 30, North Royalton City Schools held a groundbreaking celebration to kick off the construction of the new North Royalton Elementary School located at 16400 State Road. Representatives of the community, staff, administration and city and community officials came together for a ceremony that included comments and reflections from Superintendent Greg Gurka, Principal Kirk Pavelich, and several students. Residents attend Health Fair & Family Expo for learning and fun

Each year, the North Royalton Health Fair & Family Expo aims to provide its attendees with free access and support for a variety of health and wellness services and this year was no different. Hundreds of attendees walked the Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church and School grounds Sept. 21, visiting with vendors and gathering pertinent health and wellness information. The event site switched this year to the Royalton Road church complex due to construction work at North Royalton High School. North Royalton Harvest Fest kicks off fall season

Sunny skies with temperatures in the 80s, just what the organizers of the Harvest Fest were hoping for and got on Sunday, September 22. This was the 17th year that the Harvest Fest celebrated the end of the summer growing season and the onset of autumn. “Nobody can be this lucky with the weather two years in a row.
