Putting her best face forward: The clock is ticking for resident competing in national make-up contest

There are just hours left to cast your winning vote for 22-year-old North Royalton resident and NRHS grad Carrie Esser, whose jaw-dropping talents with a make-up palette have earned her a spot in the Top 5 of the NYX Professional Make-up Face Awards. Esser is competing for the national title of “2019 Artist of the Year” with a grand prize of $50,000 and an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles. Annual Blessing of the Pets set for Sunday, Oct. 6

“In almost everything we do at Saint Albert, we try to introduce faith into every aspect of peoples’ lives,” said Pastor Edward Estok. The upcoming Pet Blessing set for Oct. 6 on the front lawn of Saint Albert the Great School does just that and more, offering pet owners an opportunity to connect in faith and community and extend their religious life onto their beloved companions. Donation insures YMCA will be able to assist more families

Thanks to a generous donation, even more people will have access to the many benefits of a North Royalton Family YMCA membership. A $5,000 donation from the Westfield Insurance Legacy of Caring Fund was recently awarded to the State Road exercise and wellness facility. Graydon-Toole Insurance Group, who has represented Westfield Insurance for more than 60 years, nominated the North Royalton Family YMCA for a grant from the Westfield Insurance Foundation and presented the check to local leaders in a ceremony last month. Breaking ground on North Royalton Elementary School Construction Project

On Friday, August 30, North Royalton City Schools held a groundbreaking celebration to kick off the construction of the new North Royalton Elementary School located at 16400 State Road. Representatives of the community, staff, administration and city and community officials came together for a ceremony that included comments and reflections from Superintendent Greg Gurka, Principal Kirk Pavelich, and several students.
