Experts share info on new tax bill at Chamber luncheon

Taxes were the topic at the January Chamber of Commerce meeting which took place on Wednesday, January 17, at Carrie Cerino’s Ristorante. Several representatives from the firm Walthall Rea discussed the current tax cuts and some of their effects. Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 was signed into law on December 22, 2017, by President Donald Trump. North Royalton cemetery to get a facelift

North Royalton’s main cemetery has been targeted for a sprucing up over the past few years by the City administration and this year, the renovation will hopefully be competed. The cemetery is located at 6170 Royalton Road, and is one of two cemeteries in North Royalton. In 2008, Mayor Bob Stefanik’s administration started to target the renovation and long term maintenance of the cemetery when they started earmarking some of the funds from the proceeds of plots. NRHS Alumni Association honors the past and embraces the future

In the 1950s, just a few thousand men and women called North Royalton home. Gas and power lines had only recently been brought in and our municipality was still officially a Village and not yet a City. City Council adopts five-year sewer rate plan

City Council unanimously adopted legislation at the December 19 meeting that will result in a change in sewer bills for most residents. The legislation, was introduced at the November 21 City Council meeting by the Council Finance Committee of Council President, Larry Antoskiewicz, Ward 2 Councilman Gary Petrusky and Ward 4 Councilman Paul Marnecheck. The legislation was placed on second reading at that meeting, then on third reading at the December 5 meeting, with the final vote taking place on December 19. City Green Project on Target for 2018

North Royalton’s City Green will get a facelift this year, after the removal last year of the old city hall last July. The City Green is located at the intersection of Rt 82, Bennett and Ridge Roads and has served as a gathering place for many events over the years.
