The September meeting of the North Royalton Board of Education took place on September 14. The Board established, then approved the following 2020-21 appropriation adjustments: Fund 510-9021 Coronavirus Relief Fund to $206,166.59 Fund 510-9121 Broadband Ohio Connectivity Fund to $151,466.16. New Ward 3 Council seat has new occupant

Ward 3 residents in North Royalton finally have permanent representation. Berkeley Lane resident, Joanne Krejci was unanimously approved by the North Royalton City Council at their special meeting, which took place on September 4. Krejci fills the Ward 3 seat which had been held by Dan Langshaw, who resigned on July 4 and the subsequent resignation on August 7 of Jeff McCarthy, who was approved on August 1. Ridge Road property now owned by City of North Royalton

The City recently purchased a residential property on Ridge Road as a part of an answer to a problematic intersection. Council unanimously adopted an ordinance at its September 1 meeting that authorizes the cash purchase of the property, located at 12704 Ridge Road,, for the amount of$175,000. The property, which sits on .45 of an acre, included a house and detached garage. According to realtor.com, the property was listed at $194,900, with a 60 foot x 325 foot lot size. City obtains property in swap

City Council adopted two pieces of legislation at their September 15 meeting which would allow the city to gain a piece of industrial property in exchange for granting a Conservation Easement on a piece of city-owned property to the West Creek Conservancy. The Conservation Easement will be filed and recorded with the Cuyahoga County Recorders’ Office. NR Alumni Association dedicates historic Bell Tower to NRHS

As construction of the new high school persists and much of its extensive history is replaced with modern classrooms and contemporary technology, the North Royalton Alumni Association has dedicated the landmark bell tower to North Royalton High School to serve as an emblem of commemoration to the North Royalton community.
