North Royalton School Superintendent Mike Laub said that it was the Board’s decision to change the schedule, saying that the new Board wanted something that was more in fitting with their schedules. When asked about the 5:30 p.m. time slot and the potential for residents or parents who wished to attend a meeting to be hampered, due to a work schedule, Laub stated that he has worked for several districts that had a variety of start times and it all worked out. He also pointed out that not many actually attend the meetings and stated that if something was important enough that a resident or parent may want to attend the meeting, they will do so. He also said that if the Board received a response from residents and parents that this time slot was unacceptable, they could change the time.
