New Senior Center project moves forward

After several rounds of bidding, the City is now moving forward on the Senior Center project. The proposed Senior Center will be located at the old Royal View School property on Ridge Road, utilizing a portion of the building. North Royalton City Council unanimously adopted an ordinance at its October 1 meeting that accepted the bid of Millstone Management Group, Incorporated for the construction of the project. Mayor, Council establish Charter Review Board

It was first introduced at its September 3 City Council meeting. Every four years, the Mayor and City Council appoint a committee of nine qualified voters in the City to review the City’s charter. The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce recently released the 2024 Ohio School Report Cards. These report cards are designed to provide feedback using State Tests and End of Course Exams for measurement purposes. October is Fire Safety Month

October is National Fire Safety Month. North Royalton Fire Chief Bob Chegan has noted that while overall prevention is important, arming yourself with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and having an escape plan can save your life. Chegan advises residents to have a working smoke detector on every level of your home, outside of every sleeping area and one in every bedroom. Install carbon monoxide detectors near sleeping areas. North Royalton Homesteaders 4-H Club Fares well at the 2024 Cuyahoga County Fair

The 4-H program, the nation’s largest positive youth development program, encourages youth to learn and grow through the experience of taking on livestock projects and other non-animal projects, like baking, sewing, and gardening. NR Homesteaders 4-H Club members showed that growth over the last year as members exhibited nearly 30 livestock projects at the 2024 Cuyahoga County Fair, which were sold at the 4-H Livestock Auction.
