Recently Michael W. Chambers, CPA and Fiscal Officer for Cuyahoga County gave a presentation to City Council regarding the upcoming 2024 Sexennial Reappraisal. As a requirement of Ohio law, every County Auditor is required to value all properties at fair market value twice during a six-year cycle. Orange barrels popping up during city road projects

Now that the spring weather is in full force, so is the 2023 Road Maintenance Program, which takes place each year. The City develops a plan of the roads that are in the most need and sets a budget to start those projects. NOPEC mails residents enrollment letters

Residents who have not elected to contract their electric provider elsewhere should be receiving a letter from NOPEC regarding NOPEC electric enrollment. Also, those residents who have not contracted a gas supplier elsewhere will also receive a letter on the NOPEC natural gas enrollment. Residents receiving letters do not need to do anything if they wish to remain in the NOPEC aggregation programs. Council discusses lengthening and staggering terms

City Council began discussion on the possibility of extending the number of terms City Council members can serve and also staggering the Council terms. Council members to receive City Cell Phones

Members of City Council recently received city-owned cell phones in order to continue communication with their constituents, as well as make it easier to adhere to the State’s public records laws. Deer statistics have not changed much from last year

With the recent close of the deer hunting season, the North Royalton numbers are in. City is one step closer to receiving major grant

The City of North Royalton recently received notification from the State on a major grant that will be used for the Abbey Road Sanitary Force Main and Gravity Sewer Improvement Project. The project is estimated to cost about $20,000,000. The notification was received on March 23, stating that the City’s application has been selected to move forward to the next level for the grant. The project would include the conversion of one of the City’s two Wastewater Treatment Plants into a pumping station.
