The Cuyahoga County Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) is warning residents about scams surrounding COVID-19. “People should exercise caution in handling any email with a Coronavirus/COVID-19-related subject line, attachment, or hyperlink, and be wary of social media pleas, texts, or calls related to COVID-19,” said DCA officials. “Local and federal IT security specialists have already reported malware-laden COVID-19 spam. North Royalton resident pleads guilty in police attack

A 58-year-old North Royalton man was indicted after he allegedly attacked a North Royalton Police officer. He was arrested on August 18. John Pugnea pleaded guilty to Felonious Assault on a Peace Officer and three counts of Aggravated Menacing. According to North Royalton Police Reports, a resident reported that he was threatened by another motorist after a driving altercation. The driver called police during the altercation, reporting the license plate number. Girl Scouts celebrate World Thinking Day

In the Girl Scout World, February 22 represents World Thinking Day, also known as World Friendship Day. It’s a day that Girl Scouts take the time to get to know and honor other cultures and countries. Last Saturday, the North Royalton Girl Scouts did exactly that with 16 troops and approximately 265 girls.
